Digital Storytelling

Creating digital stories: Analysis and improvement of digital storytelling in the context of the ESO as an innovative pedagogical methodology for digital literacy (Project Edulab).

The research explores the implementation of practical projects related to planning and production of digital storytelling, and its possible use in formal education processes, specifically in the context of the ESO, to facilitate processes of digital multiliteracy (advanced literacy) and the student participation in the so-called Information Society and Knowledge.

We focus on the most traditional stories, which have similar functions to the classical narrative but in the digital world. And within the broad-spectrum of digital storytelling, we will look at ,especially (but not exclusively), those non-interactive and that allow the creation of narratives to tell stories of life, better known as Digital Storytelling.

This project is conducted jointly between the Observatory for Digital Education (University of Barcelona) and the Knowledge Society Foundation - Citilab (Cornellà de Llobregat), a pilot centre of convergence between the new generation Internet and the new generation of projects of the Knowledge Society.
